How to Use Pinterest to Generate Traffic to Your Site

Pinterest Logo
Any blogger or internet marketers that leverage the power of social networking site will always be a step ahead in traffic generation. We should always make use of early bird opportunity whenever any new social networking site comes on board.
Pinterest is the third largest social networking platform. It started with a unique concept and became popular in no time. According to research, pinterest drives more traffic than YouTube, Google plus reddit and LinkedIn all combine.
If you have been wandering on how to use pinterest to generate more traffic to your blog, today I will be giving you 5 tips to follow to drive massive traffic to your blog.
But before that, if you are not on pinterest already, join from here

Now follow these 5 simple steps and see your traffic grow by the power of pinterest

#1        Make YOUR blog Post Pinnable
This can be achieved in many ways, you can either add pin it button individually to all your blog post to make it possible for each post on your blog to be pinnable or you add pin it button to social sharing widget on your blog. This can be floating, above or below post so that anybody that visits your site will have the opportunity of sharing pinning your post before or after reading it. Another easy way of adding pin it button to your blog is directly from the pinterest site on your dashboard, where you will add all your blog details and other necessary things. I will be sharing this later.

#2        Make Your Pinterest Board Attractive
After you have signed up, spice up your pinterest board with attractive pictures related to your niche, and even unrelated one that will make it look more attractive and professional. Pin as many attractive pictures as possible to your board. Write a little about yourself in your about section, write something about what you do and do not forget to include your blog description in the description box.

#3        Write Your Pin Description
Whenever you pin any post to your pinterest board, make sure you write a description about the pin. This will make it easier for your fans to have an idea about your pin and eventually make it easier to pin. A short description of your pin will go a long way in ranking your pin but do not overdo it.

#4        Pin Your Best Blog Post
You don’t have to pin all your blog post at a time, do it one after the other, but most importantly, pin your best blog post for best result. When you pin your best blog post on the board that has gotten audience already, this will make it go viral and generate more traffic to your blog, this might help you I getting other blog post pinned by this visitors. Always try to give them the best and they will keep coming back.

#5        Get Your Fans involved
Ask your fans and friends to pin interesting pictures to your board, ask them to also pin directly from your board to their own board. When you pin and they re-pin, there is power in that viral process, if their own friend also re-pin your pin see how far it will reach. This is why you must make it attractive and simply the best.

Conclusion
Do not over look the power of pinterest, if you do it right, you will get the right result. In my next post I will be talking about how you can add pinterest button individually to your post and make it pinnable. Stay tunned.

7 Must Know Writing Tips For All Bloggers

There is tons of advice out there from different people and sources on how to be a good writer, some will tell you how to write a good post title, some will give you idea on how to write a good content, others will tell you how to use proper English. All these are very important, but two things is the most important; I call them passion and consistency. Your audience is not only on what you write but how often you write on your blog. Have this in mind that you will only get loyal followers if you have this few tips I will be discussing below.

Passion
Are you blogging because you love blogging? Why did you choose that niche? Do you have passion for it? All these are the question you need to ask yourself, if you answer yes, then the rest of it will be simple. Be passionate about what you do.
Write Frequently
It will not be a good idea if you just write two or three post in a week and put a stop to it until next month; you have to keep up with blog readers. Your readers demand a certain level of regular post updates. You must learn how to write consistently, do not expect your blog to survive on its own, do not abandon your blog and expect to keep your readers, it will not work that way. Come up with a plan, if you cannot post daily, make it three times in a week like Monday, Wednesday and Friday or four days including Saturday leaving Sunday out to prepare and research for the week ahead.
Write Clearly
Junky post will do you no good, jargons and junky content will chase your readers away. Whatever it is that you have chosen to write about, define your points clearly and make it plain to in a simpler form. Keep your content clear and simple because your audience cut across people of different levels, do not expect them to be all intelligent and talented who are familiar with what you are writing. Learn how to write in a simple and clear form, and remember this, if you must use big vocabularies; be sure that the meaning is reflected in the context of the post so that your readers will get lost in the process.
Watch your Spelling and Grammars
For most people, I know this will not be an issue, but for the sake of the few among others, let us do justice to this fact once and for all. Not all of us can spell correctly; that is a fact. And most of us that thinks we are good when it comes to spelling, we always get caught when someone else vet our write ups. On the other hand, we are a professional in English language, so grammatical errors are something we have to expect, but it must not be too much. My advice is this, any word editor that you might be using I advice you do a spell check at the end of every write up before posting and make sure you also check for grammatical errors. If you use Microsoft Word, always make use of the spelling and grammar button. (Shortcut is F7 for Office 7 and above)
Manually, check that you did not mix up any word and make sure you read you post (possibly) aloud before posting it.

Tag and Category
Tagging and categorizing your post is very important, this one of the way a new reader will find your blog. Come up with tags and categories that fall within the keyword and context of your content. This will help you show in search result and eventually bring you new followers.
 Use Picture
As I always say ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’. Having a picture in your blog post, there is tendency of you having more blog readers than not having it at all. A funny image at times that is in line with your content will do the magic, but do not spoil it by using irrelevant pictures that will scare away your readers. If your image is great, there is greater chance of your post being picked up in social media most especially pinterest.
Read Regularly
If you can read a lot, you will be able to write a lot. Not just that; good content will not be farfetched from your blog. Before you venture into any topic, make sure you read a lot about it, have a broad knowledge about the topic, read other related and authority blogs to get ideas and content will never be your problem.

These is where I will stop for today, when I first started writing, I always find it difficult to come up with content, but I have overcome that now, what I am fighting now is time, because I write about many things and I manage more than one blog. I will be sharing with you in the future how to manage your time effectively for those that write a lot under tight schedule.
Mind you this are not ground rules. There is still a lot of things you will have to learn on your own. So do not stop learning until you reach that height of satisfaction.
I hope this helps. Feel free to drop your comment in the comment box to increase the list.

Thank You So Much
I believe in this popular saying that what is worth doing at all is worth doing well; if words are enough for showing my appreciation, i would have just say it, David Thomas once said and I quote "Unselfish and noble actions are the most radiant pages in the biography of souls." I hold you in high esteem for staying with us up to this very moment despite our irregularities and shortcomings. Permit me to say this.....thank you a million times.

What Really Happened?
Our intention was not to start this and stop half way before we even achieve our aim of joining the fold in the first place, it was not part of our plan to stop this blog abruptly, but something happened that led to something and then to something; but all thanks to you our loyal readers and subscribers for your kind word of advice and gesture towards reinstating our blog back, all thanks to you.
In the first place, we thought of broaden our scope of blogging in other to serve you better, this was our first challenge,  we wanted to change our domain name to a more generic name that will cover almost all aspect of blogging and personal development other than just making money online as we use to be. It took us sleepless night to come up with a name that is not in use anywhere on the web to avert copyright infringement. After the combine effort of this blog contributors and other silent partners, we came up with the name and other registration procedure was taking care of.

The Big Challenge
After all this ordeal, when we thought all was set, the stage is ready for us to roll out, then the big challenge stroll in. Before i go further, this blog and other services we render is being done with a pair of PC ( a laptop and a desktop). Without Notice, the laptop main board packed up leaving us with no option of repairing, a week later, our desktop PC also crashed because of the work load it undergone within the week.
The Solution
Alright, what we did was to reshuffle ourselves, put our house in order and we fight it collectively, the team spirit to achieve success irrespective of any challenge was the tool that helped us. We rose up to the occasion and looked the challenge straight in the face. You too can do it, no matter what the challenge is, stand tall and look at it in the face.

The Final Part
The change of name; you might have been wandering for some weeks now about the change of name and domain name, well it is part of the developmental changes and plans to serve you better. Search Engine Optimization for Beginners part 1

What is the use of a website or blog if no one can find it? Your website may be superb with excellent layout, but if it is not visible on the search engines, then it is all a waste of time, energy and probably your resources.
These tips will be in series because I have decided to dish out all what I have gotten during my research on Search Engine Optimization. So I will advice you stick to this blog and you might want to bookmark it so that you will not miss the update.
In this series, I will be telling you what SEO means and how it been used to get ranked in search engines.

A little Advice
Before we start looking into the meaning and function of Search Engine Optimization, you need to understand this fact: changes will not come over night, it involves a meticulous process and time consuming to get ranked on search engines through SEO. Don’t be in a hurry to see results, do not resolve to use black hat techniques, take it slow and steady, be steadfast and wait for changes to take effect.
 What is SEO?
SEO simply means Search Engine Optimization, the process of increasing the number of visitors by attaining higher position or level within search result when relevant keywords are searched for. We all believe that when people search for internet for a particular material, they seldom look passes the second or third page of search result. For an Optimistic blogger or webmaster, getting to the first page of Google or preferably the first result in the page will be our dream; so everything that makes this to happen is what we known as SEO. However to accomplish this, we need know how and that is the purpose of this series.
How Do I Achieve this?
I know that is what most of you are thinking right now, yes, let me tell you this, the first thing you need is determination to get to first page of search results, so that if all said and done you are now  on second page  of search results, then you will know you have little effort to put in. Now, let’s roll into business.
Get Proper Domain Name
As most people will say, getting a domain name is most tedious part of SEO, I was a victim too, but here is my simple advice, get a domain name that contains the right keyword you have in time or simply choose your domain name based on your niche, though you might find it difficult to get a domain name for the proper niche, probably it would have been choosing, but try and mix words to get your own, it might look ugly but domains with keywords always carry weight.
Choose the Right Keywords
In most cases, choosing the right keywords can be straightforward or very problematic depending on the circumstances at hand, you would want to do all you can to avoid generic keywords because you will find it difficult to get optimized for them. Try to pick keywords that are very specific to your niche, and you will be amazed. Research your keywords and know which one will probably get the most searches and go for it.
Content is King
The popular saying that content is king is nothing but the truth, it always comes first, whatever keyword you have chosen or the domain name you have registered; you will still need solid content to back that up because you won’t be able to keep your visitor without good content.
Having good, relevant content is the most important aspect of SEO. Your content needs to be suitably useful for the people who you’d want to find your site. You need the content to make sense to the reader. The content needs to appeal to people and make them come back for more.
Do your research very well, do not copy and paste content from other website, throw in keywords and make it original, make it appeal to people so that they will want to come back for more, a very good and relevant content is the most important aspect of SEO. Use a suitable content for the type of people you want to find your site.
Conclusion
I hope you find this helpful, digest on this for now, we will continue from here next time.
Feel free to hit like and share to your friends too.
